Charlie Stoneman

Charlie Stoneman is the Managing Director of Regional Group Australia, which includes Austek Roads, Macquarie Geotech and Nationwide Machinery, effective 1 October 2026. He is responsible for leading the strategic direction, performance and growth of the business across its Australian operations.

Charlie joined Heidelberg Materials Australia in 2004 and has held a range of operational and senior leadership roles across New South Wales and Queensland. In 2016, he was appointed Regional General Manager, Northern Region, with responsibility for operations across Queensland and the Northern Territory. Throughout his career, Charlie has successfully led operational, commercial and technical functions, driving business performance, customer outcomes and operational excellence.

With more than 22 years' experience in the construction materials industry, Charlie has also held national leadership responsibilities for Sustainability, Product Development & Innovation, and Technical Services. His breadth of experience spans business operations, technical leadership, sustainability and strategic growth initiatives.

Prior to joining Heidelberg Materials Australia, Charlie worked across a range of construction and transport projects in Australia and the United Kingdom. He currently serves as Chair of the Queensland State Committee for Cement Concrete & Aggregates Australia (CCAA).

Charlie holds a Bachelor of Science (Geology) and a Graduate Diploma in Environmental Science from the University of Sydney, along with a Master of Business Administration (Technology Management) from La Trobe University.
