Peter Murphy joined Alex Fraser Group (a Heidelberg Materials company) in 1996, working in senior positions before being appointed General Manager in 2002 and then becoming the Managing Director in 2010.
As General Manager of Alex Fraser, Peter took best practice learnings from complex projects across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia and applied them in the expansion of a large network of recycling and asphalt facilities. Peter continues to drive improvement in our recycling business by applying global best practice wherever possible.
Peter achieved degree qualifications in Logistics and Operations Management and Commerce with a Dean’s Commendation from the University of Southern Queensland. He also completed the Advanced Management Program at INSEAD Fontainebleu, France.
