Phil Schacht is a proven business leader, holding several senior executive management positions throughout Australia and overseas in concrete and aggregates. Joining Heidelberg Materials (formerly Hanson Australia and Pioneer International, respectively) in 1988, Phil was the Country Manager for Malaysia and Singapore and Managing Director Aggregates and Asphalt in the UK before returning to Australia in 2009 to take up the role of Regional General Manager.
Phil was appointed Chief Executive of Hanson Australia on 1 February 2016.
Phil holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining Engineering) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of New South Wales. He is a director of Cement Concrete & Aggregates Australia, Studio Schools Australia, Cement Australia, Penrith Lakes Development Corporation and Heidelberg Materials Australia group companies.
